Hi Reader

Let me share a little background story, I came out of school with a 2:2 and I felt hopeless then, with no sense of clarity of how my future will look like. In Nigeria where I am from, there is no hope of entry into big organizations, for people with 2:2.

Never minding I nursed a dream that I wanted a clear career path, one that is globally relevant and I can work and earn irrespective of my location.

• I wanted skills that I could easily monetize peradventure I got married and my husband relocated to a new country and I had to relocate with him.. A career that I was really empowered as a person irrespective of where I was.
• I remember I wanted to be able to work from anywhere I chose
• I wanted a career path that I could compete globally irrespective of my past career mistake - mine was a bad degree, yours could be accepting a role that did not give you globally relevant or sustainable skills, in the current world of work.

This past week, I realized I have achieved that dream without realizing it, and I am so grateful to God!

I have been on a tour/vacation from Nigeria, to Cote d voire, to Senegal. I am writing this mail from Dakar, Senegal and I am still actively in work mode, while exploring new African countries.

Why do I share this? I see people make one mistake, that would never allow them to be in charge of their careers, they allow ONLY money determine their career moves.. Now that is a big mistake.

Money is very important but exposure and skills is the key thing.. Big companies are paying for exposure and hard to find skills, so if you play the game well, you will start demanding and calling the shots regarding the money.

Plus if it is only money that determines your moves, recruiters will pass shiny objects to derail you out of your career path or dreams and you will get very confused.
